Triumph

She is so proud here. Pulled up on her toy all by herself. She can even sit down by herself but unfortunately she ALWAYS forgets that she can. So she usually ends up yelling for me to come save her. I don't mind though, She can stay my baby for as long as possible IMO.

She's also happy because she just batted away her 3 year old sister who was trying to horn in on her dance action. And the attention of course. Posted by Picasa

Smitten

How could I not be! Look at this family! Am I not the luckiest woman in the world? This was taken on Father's Day. I can't believe they are mine. I cannot believe how blessed I am. Very cool.

I feel bad for Matthew though, his bday is the day AFTER Father's Day. How rough is that! I'd be so sad if my bday was in the same MONTH as Mother's Day let alone the day after and sometimes the day of. We brought Adele home from the hospital on Father's Day 3 years ago. That was his gift. He says its the best gift he thinks he'll ever receive. He's probably right, I don't think I can top that one.

Let me tell you, as much as it sucks for him that he has his bday so close to Father's Day it KILLS me. Especially when I try very hard to seperate the two and not take the easy way out by combining. I spoiled him rotten for 2 days and tried to do as much as possible without asking his help. This taught me 2 things. 1) He rocks and helps me SO much and I am SO lucky to have him, and 2) I think I would seriously have a nervous breakdown if he wasn't as wonderful as he is. So Happy 30th Birthday honey! I ADORE you!

I am so glad June is almost done. The weekend before was Adele's parties and I think I will dread June from now on. Or I won't be so dumb as to plan 3 parties for a 3 year old...We'll see what next year brings I guess. :) Posted by Picasa

Pirate Paradise

I threw a pirate birthday party for my eldest on saturday. It was so much fun! It was her first "friend" party and she was in total heaven. She was also totally warn out as you can see in this picture!

Let me say that these kids are just more and more fun the older they get! I am loving being a mom even though I have some hard days, the good SO outways the bad. How in the world could I live without my Adele & Elaine? Nothing is more wonderful than having a little girl look into your eyes and say "Night Night Mommy I love you." How awesome is that!

The last 3 years have been the absolute best of my life. Even with the tantrums, sleepless nights, snotty noses, blow out diapers, potty training, messy meals, screaming fits, hitting, kicking, dirty looks.....with ALL of that, i'm still blissfully happy. I am so blessed so loved so thought of. How could I ever think that Heavenly Father doesn't love me. Look what he gave me. One of his most precious spirits. Posted by Picasa

Miss Smarty

This is mainly a brag blog. :)

Elaine is now 10 months old, she's happy, talkative, laid back, perfect...

She's taken to being obsessed with playing patty-cake. Anytime I say "Yay" or "good job!" She'll clap her hands. She's done this for a month or so now. Lately everytime she claps her hands she "rolls them." You know "roll it, pat it, mark it with a B." She loves doing it, in fact at a friends house this week she grabbed a baby doll and held the baby's wrists like I used to do with her. She clapped the baby's hands for her, rolled them, she even patted the baby's tummy during "Mark it with a B." So proud of our little girl.

Which also leads me to another thought. Adele was given baby dolls for her...2nd birthday I believe. She never really seemed interested in them before that and really except wanting to push them in her stroller with Daddy she never has much use for them. But Elaine, she loves these dolls. She will crawl across a room crowded with fun brightly colored toys to get to the baby doll. She kisses it and lays on it. Holds it in her arms while she rolls around the floor with it. I see a nurturer in my little girl and it makes me proud yet again. :)

Lastly, it always surprises me how my two girls differences stand out to me. One little thing to add to the list. Elaine is a hider. Adele as a baby and even now is all out there. She has no shame, she hides nothing. She'll come over and shove her panties wet with pee right in my face and demand a new pair. And as a baby whenever she put something in her mouth be it something good or bad, she'd spit it right in my hand as soon as I'd say "give it to Mommy." She started doing this at about 5 months.

Elaine on the other hand, if I say "what is in your mouth!?" She will bend down her head, spit whatever it is in HER hand and THROW it. Usually she throws it behind her. Like she's saying "what are you talking about? There is nothing in my mouth!" I believe I may have my work cut out for me with this one. She's a sly girly she is. :) Posted by Picasa

Family Fun

We went hiking this past weekend and had a total blast. I am really glad I went. And I'm really glad i'm in better shape then last year!

Matt carried Elaine in the bjorn (which he swears he'll never do again...ya right) and Adele walked it with me. She did SO well and I was a very proud mama.

The trail was gorgeous and it was really nice spending time together as a family. One of the best weekends we've had together. We didn't even have one tantrum! Now THAT is saying something. :) Posted by Picasa
